An accomplished bass player, composer and songwriter, Jeff has a 25-year history in the music industry. Versatile in all styles of music, he has extensive experience in audio engineering, production, and arrangement for CDs, film/television as well as live performance.
A multi-instrumentalist, Jeff played bass with popular California Central Coast bands: 1977-1982 Wylie Band 1983-1994 Young Presidents 1994-2000 Roundhouse who have opened for: Jefferson Starship, Johnny Winter, Leon Russell, Huey Lewis and the News, Sammy Hagar, The Knack, David Crosby, and Gregg Allman
Jeff is an ASCAP registered songwriter for Southern All-Stars “So Much Love” published by Colgems music, 1977.
He has composed and performed soundtracks to 2 movies for Bob Franco/Endorphin productions, 1996-1999, and scored an LA Film Festival award-winning short film “Just Like That”, 2001. He has also composed music for corporate videos, for VSO Productions, 2000-2003
Jeff has studied with Christine Bobrowski (MIDI) and Gus Gustafson (music), and is a graduate of the Don Martin School of Radio and TV, Hollywood, CA 1973
Matt is a graduate of the Instiutute of Audio Research in Manhattan as well as Full Sail in Orlando, FL. While in Orlando, Matt had the opportunity to run live sound for indie-rockers Apples In Stereo as well as Sub Pop's Iron and Wine. After graduating Full Sail, Matt interned for a few months at 38 Greene, an up and coming audio post house in Manhattan's SOHO district. Returning to his hometown in 2003 to get married and do grown up stuff, Matt began his career here at the Castle. Matt has a life long love of music and recording. Beginning on the saxophone playing in concert, symphonic and jazz bands throughout elementery and high school, he later ventured on to the guitar in his early teens and has been playing, writing and recording music ever since. Matt's well rounded musical background along with his engineering skills and laid back attitude has proved an asset for every project that comes through the Castle.
A three-time Emmy award winning Production Sound Mixer, Mark has worked for every major U.S. television network and on every continent. He is a veteran of 4 Olympics, ESPN’s “XGames” as well as numerous documentaries and feature films. Mark was responsible for the A/V System Integration and wiring for Castle, and continues to maintain and upgrade our equipment.
